Tartu photographer Merle Värv has been taking photographs for 20 years. Her style is all about natural emotion and the play of light and shadow. Merle says a good photo is half technique and half psychology: she takes the time to get to know people, so that everyone recognises themselves in the picture. Her calm, friendly guidance helps the whole family – even a camera-shy child – feel at ease.

The session takes place in Merle's photo studio, Stuudio Legend, next to the Tartu Song Festival Grounds at Laulupeo pst 25/2.

Pets too!
The whole family is welcome at the photo session with Santa – including your dog, cat or other pet. Animals are always welcome in Merle's studio, and photographing pets is nothing unusual. There is no extra charge and you don't need a longer session. Please make sure your pet's paws are clean when you arrive.

The 25-minute session leaves time to get to know the child, chat with Santa, and photograph the children and the whole family. A little conversation, laughter and Christmas wishes help create natural moments.
The session is shaped around your family. If you like, your child can get used to the photographer and the room first, and Timmo joins a little later.

Every year brings new moments and memories. One family's Christmas photos over the years show how a shared tradition grows.
Before
we meet.
Where does the photo session take place?
In Merle's studio: Laulupeo pst 25/2, Tartu.
Is Santa there the whole time?
Timmo and Merle give your child time to settle in. If you like, your child can get used to the photographer and the studio first, and Santa joins later.
What should Santa know about the child?
You'll find the questions in the booking form. If you don't have time now, the confirmation e-mail includes a link for adding the children's details later. Santa comes to share joy.
What photos do we get?
The package includes all the good shots as digital files. There is no set number of photos. You'll receive the finished photos through a cloud service.
When do we get the photos?
Within two weeks of the session at the latest – or within 3 days as a rush order, or by the next day with express delivery.
Can we bring a gift?
You can bring a small gift for Santa to give the child during the session. Label the gift with the child's name and agree on the handover before the meeting.
Can we bring our pet?
Yes, pets are welcome free of charge. Clean paws, please!
When is the booking confirmed?
Your booking is confirmed once the photographer approves it. Merle usually confirms within 24 hours.
How do we pay?
The invoice is sent after the booking is confirmed. No payment is taken on the website.
What if we are late?
The session can't be extended – it ends at the originally booked time.
What if our plans change?
